Robbed at my wedding, venue takes no responsibility

I got married at Blue Horizon Estate. When viewing the venue the event manager showed me the bridal suite & told me this was where children could stay during the later hours of the reception, she showed us the TV, said they get videos for them, or they can sleep. And they hired nannies to watch the kids. They told me they had security personal on site.
On the night, my sister took my handbag & suitcase to the bridal suite at 12:30am as she was leaving, at that time there was one nanny left there.
When I got to the suite at 3am, my suit case & handbag were not in the room. The next morning I found my suitcase on the ledge outside the window, opened & rummaged through, my new perfume gone. My handbag also gone. As we paid them over R110 000 I felt this was unacceptable & asked them to claim from their insurance for only R5200 to cover items lost.
They then sent me a strongly worded - rude - email, followed by a lawyers letter to say they did not need to claim from their insurance - telling me I hired the nannies (they did, i have the itemised invoice) and that I insisted on using the suite for the kids (they offered it!) and barring me from writing about my experience. I'm shocked
