Multichoice has been sending text messages and mails to their customers who are not using the debit order facility to pay their monthly instalments, they've been informing us that if we switch to debit order, the first month the payment will be a R100.00 less. I opted for the debit order facility since I was under the impression that for the first month I will paying R100.00 less, only to find out when the debit order went through the whole R277.00 monthly instalment was deducted without the R100.00 less promised by the ads. I called Multichoice and I was told by the consultant that it only applies only if one is on the debit order facilty for a year and only then after a year will the R100.00 less on your monthly payment be active for the first month after a year. This is false marketing and advertising on Multichoices part they should retract their misleading ads.
