MULTICHOICE DECODER CARE COVER

Recreation & Entertainment

Further to my complaint that I had to go to Multichoice on 4 occasions in under a month in order to get a replacement decoder that actually works properly. Proper 'TESTS' obviously were not done on these! 'WEAR & TEAR' is not the problem here, decoders were reconditioned and should work properly after a service!!
No apology forthcoming, I merely got the following response, so Multichoice clearly does not care:

Thank you for your Hello Peter posting dated 16 September 2013.
When a decoder becomes faulty, it is important that the necessary tests be done on the decoder thereafter it may be replaced at a minimum cost depending on the type of decoder one owns. In your case you do not get charged because you have Decoder Care cover. A decoder is replaced at no additional cost.
Please also note that a service that is free of technical problems is not possible, especially with electronic equipment which may become problematic after being utilised for some time. The 'ware and tare' on an electronic device cannot be avoided or prevented.
Our records indicate that the decoder is currently active. Kindly confirm that all is in working order.
