Hi There,

I'm a new (2months) DSTV customer with the "full" bouquet. I was a very happy customer until 3 weeks ago - when my choice of channels was narrowed down to about 20 of the worst channels possible. After several phone calls adding up to about 1.5 hours at my expense and endless emails, I am still sitting with no choice of channels. I have done what the call center and emails have told me to do (which meant dismantling my TV unit and re-plugging the decoders' cables) and yet I sit with the same issue.

I was eventually instructed to take my decoder in to have the signal checked (although the signal strength and quality is 100%). And that the closest place to me was an hour away, and it may even cost me money. My other alternative was to get a technician in - again, at my own expense. This is absolutely absurd, considering I've only owned the decoder for 2 months and everything was perfectly fine. I hadn't changed a thing!

I currently pay R692 a month!!! With my choice of channels, I'd be better off watching infomercials on SABC 1... All of the new series which I got to enjoy and record are 'unwatchable' and DO NOT RECORD because I can't pick up the channel.
