Every month I receive the same service, HD & XtraView for R655 pm. This month my HD decoder overheated after an hour of use and I had to replace it.
On Fri 11 Jan I went to PTA service branch to have my decoder replaced. After 5mins with the agent I was sent back home with the same decoder, as they did not find fault. After holding for 15mins & again for 19mins on the call centre line, I gave up and decided to go to the Midrand branch on Sat. Decoder was replaced, but the new decoder was also faulty, causing both my HD & XtraView not to work. With service centres closed, I called to have my XtraView decoder switched on Saterday evening. On Monday went back to Midrand, had my decoder replaced once again. All replacements were done under warranty.
My January bill: 25 days HD & 30 days XtraView = R792 due to a some pro-rata calc - huh? My phone bill has 61mins charged to the call centre this month & I visited a service branch 3 times to sort this problem. To top it all I have to pay more for my interrupted HD service? For a company who's been around for 25years this is a major service blunder. I've been a loyal customer for 4 years, is it time to look @ other entertainment providers?
