Sun International
Vehicle damaged by valet service

Recreation & Entertainment

We arrived at The Palace on Friday 26 July 2013 and gave our vehicle over to the valet service. They told us it would cost R55 per day and took my keys. When we got the vehicle back on Monday 29 July after checking out, the car had a big scrape mark on the right front fender corner - it is clear that the driver took a left turn but underestimated the length of the vehicle. After making us stand outside for more than an hour (with a 4 month old baby!) I finally got them to give me a letter stating that they acknowledge there was an incident. During our wait it became clear that protocol was not followed since they should have marked all damage to the vehicle and got my signature to acknowledge but this never happened.
Two days later I received a letter via email stating that they have surveillance evidence that the vehicle was damaged when we got there. I requested them to send me the evidence but as yet have not received it (which is obvious since the vehicle was damaged by them).
