Faulty cc machines, triple charges

On Friday 5 July I took my 2 pre-schoolers and a friend to Ster Kinekor Cresta. We arrived just in time and proceeded to stand in the popcorn queue. It took ages so that we were eventually late for the movie. When we got to the front of the queue and I paid by credit card, the teller told me their machine didn't give receipts. Since I was now in a hurry I said that's fine. I swiped my card and the teller told me it hadn't gone through. I swiped it again and she said it still hadn't gone through. Then the smses arrived on my phone, saying both transactions had in fact gone through. The manager arrived and told me their system showed it hadn't gone through and that I still needed to pay. We were now really late so I just paid at another machine.

Today I see all three transactions did indeed go through. Phone SK and they said I must send them a bank statement to prove that the transactions went off 3 times. Really? Why should I send you my personal information? Sounds like it's either happening or simply staff that couldn't be bothered. I'm going via the bank instead, but I'm seriously unimpressed.
