Multichoice
Decoders counted wrong

Recreation & Entertainment

My PC illiterate dad who doesnt stay with us, has an account with DSTV and has been exuberantly charged due to multichoice breaking the extra view link and counting the decoders as separate. In total there are three decoders on his account, one at his house and two decoders where his kids stay that should be linked up as extra view. When getting extraview installed the bill was charged correctly the 1st month (05 March), meaning things were set up correctly from our side. From there on my dad was charged quadruple split into two debit orders of R2700 totaling R5400 when he should have only been charged R1300 for the two.

I called Multichoice about this and after an hour of speaking to the lady, she eventually fixed the problem and I was almost out of airtime and had R200 before the call.

This means my dad should be at least reimbursed for this as Multinational corps. are known for taking advantage of those who are unable to stand for themselves.

The reference number for my call at Multichoice is: 133283241.

I hope this can be resolved amicably and efficiently as we would like to continue to support Multichoice since they have responded positively before.

Regards,
Moshe
