I am a multichoice subscriber. I used to pay via debit order but changed to manual payments when I moved. Despite the debit order being cancelled they somehow, without permission, managed to get it reactivated and used it to obtain payments of almost R9000, 00. Obviously all without permission. After some discussion the money was refunded. I obviously refuse to return to a debit order system. But, in what appears to be a tactic to force me, they now can never trace my manual payments and cut the service every month. The one month I paid two weeks in advance just to give them sufficient time to trace the payment but still they cut the service. The whole thing is extremely frustrating and distasteful. Their web page boldly states that any payments via ABSA bank will take no longer than 15minutes to allocate but in reality it takes closer to 3 weeks. They ignore you when you remind them of their webpage promises. I cannot believe that everyone encounters the same problems when paying manually so possibly this is simply because I complained when I noticed the unauthorised deductions they made - its now the 10th and they still say they have not been paid despite pment on 1 May 2013.
