I visited Ster Kinekor Gateway in Durban this weekend. It was for the first show of the day, 9:00am on saturday. I ordered 2 medium popcorns but was told that only small and large was available. So I ordered 2 small's instead. I then saw the person next to me receive a medium. I thought it might have just been the last one so ignored it. Then 2 people after that also got mediums. The boxes were within arms reach of my cashier. I asked her how the other customers were allowed to buy mediums and she says that all her boxes were finished. That is the most ludicrous thing I've ever experienced when buying foodstuff. When I can see the goods in front of me but the cashier wont allow you to purchase it. I would love to hear from the Manager of this branch. Firstly that they have no stock of boxes that early on a busy saturday and secondly and more importantly, about the ridiculous decision to not allow customers to purchase the goods they have displayed on their menu when it is right in front of them. They should amend their menu to read "Subject to stock availability at respective cashier".
