Please be aware of renting from Platinum Prime Properties especially 31 Sherbrooke, Lopis Street, Edenglen. We had viewed the place, took the place and only to be found with a snag list one of which the cupboards shelves collapsed so 3 weeks later we are still sitting with our clothes in suitcases and washing baskets. The kitchen cupboards are rotten and leaves a mouldy smell in the kitchen as well as the stuff you put in the cupboards. The Landlord Dierdre van Eeden came out after complaining and she did not want to fix it as she wants to sell the place, her handyman came and fixed some of the problems on the snag list. When things got out of hand the owner tore up the lease and told us it is null and void and that we must be out. I told her it is illegal and she just left. I then received a letter from a lawyer which is apparently the landlords husband telling us we have 5 days to get out. As far as the Consumer Protection Act they need to give us 20 days written notice. I have gone to the Rental Tribunal to lay charges. Be careful when dealing with these people
