IMMEDIATE action items listed on ingoing inspection dated 30th November 2012 include downstairs toilet NOT working and complete window in main bedroom patched closed with newspaper. Today 10th February and none yet repaired. Window repair/quote graciously accepted on Friday 8 Feb I'm told!! Alcus lay blame on Coler who is responsible for maintenance. I entered into a contract with Alcus and expect service from them. Iron burn marks on carpet in second bedroom, broken tiles in main living area... the list goes on! I have today emailed Wendy Knowler of Pretoria News Consumer advice. Considering Rental Tribunal involvement. I see another apartment in Deo Fortuno is available through ALCUS - BEWARE any prospective tenants. These people take what they can and do not deliver on any of the empty promises made by the letting agents. This is so wrong and they continue to operate and take our money. Interesting to see what happens with deposit refund. Watch this space!
