We currently renting a property from E&V in Port Elizabeth. We taken occupation in July 2013 and on move in we have furnished both the landlord and E&V with a fault list. Up and till today we had no maintenance done what so ever. There is a damp problem in main bedroom and is getting worse every day. There is rotten toilet seats that we ended up will ill family because of the seats. We had electric faults as well where we had to loose meat. Our one cupboard in the main bedroom is ruined at the back because of the damp and so the list carries on. If you do address the matter to E&V they say they act on instructions from their client. We must put a claim in against the landlord for all our losses. The landlord don't have any funds to reimburse us what so ever.

I can forward a more detailed description of everything that happend and is currently going on if someone can please assist me in this regard as to how I can go about to be reimbursed for all my losses and bills. We have send how many emails and now I have even stopped paying this months rent till this matter is sorted. I have tried the rental board as well but no response from them either. I feel this unfair to any Tenant.
