WASTING MY TIME & PETROL

After responding to a townhouse for rent on the Property24 website I was informed that I could view the premises on Wednesday afternoon at 4pm. I live and work in the Tokai/Kirstenhof area and spent time and petrol on going through to the townhouse in Claremont to view it. Imagine my dismay on Thursday, when I requested an application form, to be told that the flat had already been let. Having informed the lady that I had only just viewed it the day before, she did a complete turnabout and said she would forward me the application. Having another appointment, I left the office and received the application form this morning - Friday, 13th. Giving some thought to the fact that a lot of very private financial information was required, I decided to phone the agent named on the Property24 website. This lady kindly confirmed that the townhouse had, indeed, been let on Tuesday. Her excuse for Pam Golding Properties in sending me on this wild goose chase was that they didn't quite know whether an application would be accepted before completion of a credit check. Rotten way to run a business. Be truthful and let the applicant know that there is very little chance of getting the residence!!!
