Whitfields
Belmont Estate and Whitfields Insurance Debate

Real Estate

I detected water damage in my unit on 13th of June. Informed complex management and just by one look they said "It's your problem". I phoned Whitfield and they advised that these things are covered by insurance, why did my complex manager not know this?? Got it fix while consulting with Whitfield and our portfolio manager and now i am in the process of getting my refund for the repairs done and i am being told that the insurance will not pay for the leak detectors. This is after Roger, the portfolio manager from Whitfields confirmed that they will refund it, prior to getting them out. Also the repairs of the resultant damage is still up in the air. The only feedback i get is that its been taken up with the insurance and we are waiting. We have been since 28 of June and still we get the same feedback and no action. Above it all, we got a snotty mail from the Trustees of the estate stating we didn't follow procedure and it it "YOUR PROBLEM". Yes we did, they just could care less to investigate the matter or get the correct facts. Why do we pay Levy???
Serious action needs to be taken by the property management company on Trustees, complex manager and internal people to resolve this.
