Receiving your deposit back in full is impossible

I had a one year lease agreement with Monolith Estates. I paid my deposit (R4200) and all the other required admin fees when i signed my contract. I terminated my contract after 5months, i served notice.
I was then informed that i will be charged an early termination fee of 6%, now i have been informed that it is actually 8% per month (meaning because my contract was still left with 7months to go the calculation would be as follows: 7months times 8% times 14%VAT). The agency is now not taking the responsibility of paying me back my deposit, i am constantly being reffered to the owner when i initially paid the deposit money into the Agency's account. it is now 23days later and i still have not received my deposit back.
The agent Ridge is also not bothering to follow up and get back to me.
This is the worst service i have ever seen anyone receive from an agency and the agency is clearly in this business to make as much money from their clients as possible.
I advise anyone to read the fine print of their contracts, i actually do not advise anyone to go into a contract with this agency, you will loose almost all of your deposit when you move out, even after serving a month notic
