Response to Khanya Matshaya complaint

As the owner of the unit Khanya complained about, "You don't want to rent from them", I'm surprised that for someone who was so pedantic about the unit that you missed the light fitting. Why did you leave spare light bulbs when you left? A light fitting cannot be replaced for R100 as electrician and new fitting cannot possibly cost that. Secondly, you got access to the unit the day after the previous tenant left. Painting and cleaning CAN only be done when they moved out. Any repairs come from the deposit of the previous tenant, which the estate agent holds, and NOT from the incoming tenants deposit. You also broke your lease after only three months and got of with a MINIMUM penalty. From an owners perspective, they deal with all the issues on my behalf and everything is recorded. I therefore have peace of mind if tenants damage, default in rent, break lease agreements. They have an obligation to me as an owner and tenants must realise that if they want perfection, they should buy and create their own perfection.
