Conned out of our property

We submitted an offer on a property on 18th May and Willie advised that our offer was accepted on 20th May. He further advised that we could go ahead to make the deposit available as it would take 2-3 weeks to have everything sorted. We learnt that a higher offer had been submitted 3 weeks after ours "had been accepted"!! Not only have we incurred bank costs but we now have to vacate our rental property by end July but we also have no house!! i find this extremely unethical and unprofessional. They keep on promising to sort things out and revert back to us but this never happens :-(
