Conned out of our property!!!

We viewed a property in Discovery on Sat 18th May, made an offer on the same day (meeting all the necessary requirements and having more than a 10% deposit cash) and received a phone call from our agent on Monday advising that our offer had been accepted and that we just had to wait for final sign-off from the bank. An email from Rita van den Berg dated 20th May confirmed this. I have been following up regularly with the agent as to why we were waiting so long to proceed, only to be told today that Colvan Trust had accepted another offer for the same property on 4th June - after we have been told on the 18th May that all bidding will close on Monday, 20th May at 09:00!!! I've been on needles and pins for the last 3 weeks and have in fact given notice at my rental residence because we were told that all will be sorted by end July latest? This is unethical and unprofessional to say the least!!
