Witholding of part of the deposit unfairly

I stayed in the Camlyn Gardens apartments from September 2012- February 2013 (a period of six months). When I left I cleaned the apartment & phoned Eddie the gentlemen I was told to contact by John the care taker, when moving out. I told him that he needed to check the apartment as I was moving out, but he told me to just leave the keys with the guards at the gate on mmy way out > i didnt have a problem as I knew the apartment was in order. To my amazement, when the deposit money was returned to me in May, it was R1570 short. On inquiring from Takalani I was given a long list of things said to be broken, when in fact some of them I actually reported to Eddie on my arrival and they were never fixed
