City Property
City Property is a big bad bully!

I have been renting with City Property since December 2012 and I have never been so disgusted by the service being provided. This week I recieved a letter from the building manager telling me that my floor is undergoing renovation and thefore I need to either apply to move to the renovated floors upstairs or find acommodation elsewhere. The letter says the renovations are due to start on 1st August and tenants who wish to remain in the building and move to the available floors must scramble to get accomodated. This they say can be done from the 1st July. I am on my last trimester of pregnancy and due for my martenity leave in July. This then made sense for me to tell City property that I wont be needing accomodation with them as I need to go back home anyway by that time. Today I went to their offices in Pretoria to explain this and to put in a notice to move on the 30th June. The answer from them is that if I put a notice now i would be in bridge of crontract and would be liable to pay around R10, 000. I feel I am being bullied to accept their conditions but they are not willing to listen to me as a customer. I can only move out in July because it suits them or pay up! WOW!
