Poor Service to Potential Tennant

Hello Peter!

My fiance and I are looking for a rental property in the Southern Suburbs. Anyone who is also attempting to do this presently will know that this is no small task and you need to have your wits about you.

We saw a property last week that we both fell in love with for just under 10k per month, and we promptly signed the application!

I have dealt with many an estate agent, but never have I had the displeasure of dealing with Rawson. Right from when I handed in the application to the receptionist, I was treated as though they were doing me the biggest favour in the world. They were not even willing to my application without me paying an upfront fee! (Something that has been completely foreign to me up until now).

I paid my fee in good faith, and since then have been having an uphill battle.

To this point, no one has bothered to come back to me. My email complaining on why no one has been in touch with me remains un-replied to and I see the property is being re-advertised. Where is courtesy? A simple email/phone call to explain the delay and apologise? I am not un-reasonable - just left wanting for better service.
