Department Of Home Affairs
After waiting 2.5 years for answe

My wife is a Dutch citizen and I and our 3 kids are South Africans. We moved back to SA in 2010. And applied for permanent residence for my wife in 2011. We called almost every month for more information for the last 2.5 years only to hear we must call again. I'm very unimpressed with Home Affairs. I wish they would get their affairs in order. We were promised news on the 17 of December. I had to phone in to find out that we had to wait till January. Today we hear that 2 documents are missing and her application has been rejected. What a mess. We even spoke directly to the manager at the Richards Bay branch in June 2013 to find out what needed to happen to get information and completion of the application. We have the documents in our possession! They could have just asked for them 2.5 years ago!!!

My wife runs a fully registered orphanage for abused and abandoned children! She is helping South Africans! I wish South Africans would help her! Especially those at Home Affairs! Our lives are on hold! Many lives are affected by this affair!
