NON REGISTRATION OF UIF & WORKERS COMPENSATION

I worked for a Botswana Company, based in Sandton. The company promotes Investors from SA to invest in Botswana in various sectors. When the company dismissed me unfairly (kept me as a "temp" working full time for two years). It came to light that they did not register me for UIF nor was I covered for workers compensation, amongst other issues regarding compliance to SA Law. After several attempts enquiring about the Non registration, of my UIF, they ignored my emails, and left me with no UIF. I was contributing for two years and nobody came back to me with regards to an explanation, nor justification as to where the contributions were going. What surprises me is that they look for Investors from our country to invest in their country, yet they do not even show concern for a South African staff member who worked for them for almost two years. Carte Blanche would have a field day exposing such entities... I am proudly South African, and hope that companies like these would embrace the laws of South Africa, without having to be taken to task. I am now patriotic to my country and am proudly working for South African Company!
