I had penalties for outstanding submissions, i received an sms of how much i owed them. I was told to make an arrangement which i did but never went through. They ended up garnishing the money in 2 portions, end of April 2013 they took the first half end of May they took the second portion which was more than what they were supposed to have deducted. Right now (03/06/2013) i just made a call quering the over-deduction they have made, the Call Centre tells me nothing reflects me on their system that payment was made. Sibongile (SARS Employee) gave me an email address to forward my query to, I am not even sure of how valid the email address is. Tomorrow (04/06/2013) I will have to go into the branch and only knows what information am i going to get there seeing that there's a communication breakdown between the branch and call centre. I have never seen such terrible service, they need to change their hiring criteria. This is down out useless
