I don't know who to address this email to, but my frustrations with SARS are endless.
Where do I start...
Last year I received sms's regarding a penalty fee I had to pay SARS of R3500.00, I went into SARS to stop this from increasing, that was done, only to find out SARS owed me an amount of R4050.00, I was told I would only receive this once I paid up my penalty fee. Whilst at SARS they informed me of my particulars, nothing was mentioned regarding my banking details. I took all this information with me went I went to SARS. And then proceeded to make a payment towards my penalty fee... I then called in a month later to find out SARS banking details to make another payment and I was told I don't owe SARS anything, they had deducted the money off the Money I was suppose to be paid out, (which initially I was told could not be done, but was done anyway). I queried as to when my money would be released and was told I have a "stopper" on my account and would take 21 days to be removed!
I then followed up on this and went into SARS in Town CBD cape town... I was then Emailed by a "Melinda Rorich [MRorich@sars.gov.za]":
