On Saturday 10 January 2026 I was walking through from the Silo District to the main shopping centre when I heard loud, piercing, repetitive shouts - Death Death to the IDF. I could not believe this. How can anyone be allowed to shout Death to anyone, especially when small children are around. My grandchildren were baffled. This should not be allowed. I was surprised to see 2 police officers standing outside Cape Union Mart observing but doing nothing. The Waterfront should not be a place of protest or of wishing death on anyone. We go to the Waterfront to forget the World's problems for a while. Please investigate and let me know how this could have happened.
