Stay away from Empisal machines

I bought my mom an Empisal machine two years back from game. It has been used about 6 times in the last two years and for simple home projects. About a month ago the timing went out. Called Empisal head office and was given 2 service centre locations, neither of which existed. Eventually found one close by on my own and was told this is a common problem with Empisal machines. I have since spoken to a few friends of my wife that confirm Empisal machines timing is a common issue. The repair has taken 6 weeks and finally come back with a bill of R380. The machine was only R700 when purchased. Very sad to see a company who has been around for years and was known for its customer service be this bad. No one at head office can assist and the complaints department is one lady that never even bothered coming back to me.
