I bought 4 new items (worth some R36000) from Steel-land. They confirmed that all the items were in stock. The items were delivered late at night, stacked on top of each other to fit into the truck, with no protective covering at all. The white leather lounge suite had been damaged by the other furniture, it was full of dirty hand marks as carried by the people whom delivered and I noticed it had been washed before & it was a shop floor suite that had been standing on the shop floor for many months. The plasma unit also had a mark. It was clearly not the new warehouse/storeroom furniture I originally bought. Since February last year I have been communicating and pleading with Steel-land to correct the above problems to my satisfaction. I have just been ignored for 9 months. The all elusive owner of the franchise in Cape Town was never available, he had no telephone number nor mail address. I eventually received an e-mail from the Johannesburg Branch, to let me know they will send a cleaning company to attend to the matter!
What a slap in the face after 10 months. This is the last chance I give this Company to replace the items with what I originally bought or refund me.
