Poor Service

Miscellaneous

Breakdown Wednesday night 5th - vehicle towed to Autobahn Isando. 6 th informed by service consultant that 2 gear selector rods broken and 2 g/box seals need to be replaced. Cost accepted and authorization given. Repairs will be done on the 7th no stock of parts at dealership - OK. 7am informed that no parts in SA and need to be sourced from Germany about two weeks. I have no alternate transport and have been travelling by taxi at a cost of R1000 per day (private) Vehicle serviced regurarly as per the service intervals for 13 years at this dealership. Will not consider a courtesy vehicle as my vehicle is out of warranty (607K kilometers on the clock) Asked to refer to call centre at H/O lady by the name of Marissa Chetty refused to assist went by the book and would not afford me the opportunity of speaking to someone senior or with authority. Trying to get assistance over the phone was a "nightmare" Called switchboard back and was eventually put through to Cobus Swanepoel - same story but would try and assist by airfreighting parts using his budget and will try to source a courtesy vehicle for a couple of days? No transport and no feedback yet. BMW selective old vs new...
