Nissan South Africa
Bidvest disgrace

Miscellaneous

Hi
We booked my wife's Nissan Micra in for repairs a week ago. They had to especially order the part. This morning (3/02/14) we took the car in. My wife spent two hours to get there. They assured me everything was in order. She only got home at 11 am as she had to wait for a shuttle. They called her at about 3 pm to say that the part was in fact NOT ordered but they are arranging a courtesy car as the part would arrive tomorrow. They said my wife had to sign a form whereby she would be liable for a R 5000 excess in the event of an accident. I expressed my displeasure at this as this situation was the doing of McCarthy Nissan. I had especially taken a half a day's leave to shuttle everyone around. The service manager Johan said he would call me to advise when the car was ready. At 4:30 pm still no phone call. So we to drive to Nissan anyway, in peak hour traffic, with a baby in tow. Upon arrival we were told to sign the form, which we did. We were then escorted to the "courtesy car", minus a cover for the petrol cap. Johan advised us that we would have to fill up the car with petrol. That was the final straw. What kind of service is this? I cancelled the appointment. Disgraceful.
