On the 3rd January 2013, I took my Honda to Car Service City (CSC) in Paulshof to have the front brakes inspected for what was a loose metallic sound. I asked them to respond urgently with a quote as I would be unable to receive calls after 9am and they said I would hear from them no longer than 8h30 am. At 8h35 I phoned CSC and they had not inspected the vehicle yet and then CSC said I would be contacted at 9h45am. Similar to before this was not the case and I called them when I was able to call out at 10am.

Eventually I received a quote for the following:
a) New brake pads - I fitted new pads only 2 months back and done 7000km since.
b) New brake discs - The existing brake pads are not worn or warped and appear fine
c) Anti Rattle Clips - Probably the true cause
d) Rear brake linings - I don't have a problem and didn't ask for this
e) Rear brake drum - Skimming
f) Brake fluid flush -??? Done 7000km back.

The total quote came to about R6000 but they would not issue me with a hard copy of the quote.

I eventually paid R450 for the inspection and R400 for a diagnosis on my SRS system but after paying they could not give me the report on the diagnosis.
