I took my ST220 to Novel in Paarl on Friday 30 June 2013 for a service and some other odds. I was phoned on Wednesday, 3 July and told the car was done and in the wash bay. Thursday morning, it was not washed. After driving off I noticed bad scratches that was not there before next to the gear lever. I immediately phoned JJ. I stopped, took photos and mailed it. After 2 hours I phoned him. He told me that they are not responsible for it.
The scratches were very obvious and we would have noticed them. He said that I have no proof that they weren't there before. I got annoyed and said that I do not appreciate his approach to the matter. His response was that I am welcome to take it to a police station to have fingerprints taken. This infuriated me and I asked to speak to his manager who told me that their staff would have told him if anything went wrong. Well, I expressed my unhappiness and he said that he would talk to his people and phone me.
It is now 15 Aug and he has still not contacted me about the issue. Then I phoned Ford SA who apparently looked into the matter and after contacting them many times I was told that I must sort it out with the dealership. This is unacceptable
