I went to Sign by Sign to get my fridge wrapped. While their workers carried the fridge they dropped it to such an extent that the compressor fell on the pavement. I told the receptionist that they dropped it in front of 1 of the employees, who didn't deny it. She told me that their technicians will take a look at the fridge, I paid for the wrapping and left. Later I sent an e-mail to Henk Badenhorst (managing director) to inform him of the situation and I asked him to let me know whether my fridge still works. He replied by saying that his WHITE employees did not drop the fridge, they will not take responsibility & they will get CCTV footage from their neighbours. I said that I just wanted to know whether the fridge still works and would also like to see the footage as they dropped it while I was standing there. He told me to sue them, he will pay my money back immediately and I should bring someone to load the fridge. I told him that it is not necessary to be so defensive as I only wanted to know whether it still works. When I fetched it I was verbally abused by 1 employee who dropped the fridge and I am still waiting for my "immediate refund".
