Poor Quality Product and Extremely Poor Service

My mother has had her Kenwood food processor for about 15 years and it's still going strong. So naturally when I purchased a food processor Kenwood was my first choice. Unfortunately it seems that their product quality standards have dropped. Whilst moving the food processor lid to the sink, it slipped out of my hand and shattered to pieces. Very poor manufacturing materials indeed!

Without the lid my machine is rendered useless. I immediately contacted customer service (Amanda L) via the email provided on the website to enquire how I could purchase a replacement lid. I received no response. I initially presumed that my e-mail was perhaps missed but I sent several follow up queries which have all been met with no response. Surely Miss Amanda could not have missed all my queries? It is alarming that a brand as big as Kenwood has only one person to deal with customer service. My first query was sent in August 2012!! And to this day I have not had a response. What does it take to get some customer service from Kenwood??

Very disappointed and will definitely not recommend Kenwood to anyone.
