Slow rate of repair on an inherent fault

I took my food processor to an approved repair centre on 3 Dec 2012 as the machine was temperamental and I thought the switch was faulty. The repair centre promised the machine within a few days, after many trips to collect it, it became apparent that the spare parts weren't available for the PC board. After I submitted a complaint via the website, the machine was taken to Kenwood to have a part taken from a new machine and placed in mine, this took about a month. I have collected my machine this morning and am really unhappy. I have been told that the guarantee is only for three months, so basically I could end up paying for a replacement every three months (and be without my machine for three months at a time!). The repair centre also say that they have many machines with the same problem and the machine is not a heavy-duty machine, I have used it for basic mixtures only. If this product is so sub-standard, why do they sell it? By comparison, my Mother has had a Kenwood for at least 30 years and it has never been in for repair. In future when buying appliances, Kenwood will never feature in my selection.
