Ongoing attempts to cancel TV license 4yrs

Since September 2009, I have not had in my possesion the LCD screen for which I initially purchased my TV license. This being sue to my giving up the lease of my apartment to move to a fully furnished company house. The set with given to a friend and later struck by lightning, rendering it out of order. I work abroad and do not currently rent accommodation or own a TV set in South Africa (since 2010)

Numerous attempts have been made at contacting SABC, fulfilling vague and various requests on their part for documentation required for cancellation, over the years, and no feedback or confirmation of requests for cancellation.

I am repeatedly contacted by debt collectors (currently Nudebt) who I have informed of the cancellation. They do not action anything either and continue to call and harass me.
