Terrible service bad attitude

My friend and I visited this crystal shop and I wanted to buy a pendant. I asked the lady if she could put a string on for me and after she knotted it, I was not happy with that as it looked really bad and did not work properly. I asked for another kind of string, maybe with a different kind of knotting. The transaction was rung up in the mean time as they were in a hurry to get to the next customer. When they said they do not have any other strings for a pendant, I said I would rather leave it but they refused to cancel the transaction. I said that I would just like to leave the string - which was R10 - but they were not even prepared to take the string and give my R10 back. Please note at this point I was still standing at the till busy with the buy. They said they have a no return policy but I was still standing at the till busy with this transaction, it is not as if I left and came back the next day. I left the string as well as my my money. How unprofessional and unhelpful is this? I used to be a regular client at this place, now I will have to warn all my friends, colleagues and aquaintances against this place.
