FITSTOP Threats (Lawyers-Bennett & Associates)

Hi,
I've had very bad service with this health club, they operate it unprofessionally.
My story in short:
I joined the gym last year and all was okay until mid-year 2013 when I updated my banking details where they can debit the monthly payment from. This probably didn't happen as requested and now, two month down the like I get calls and statements from Lawyers that I must pay 16K. When I asked the "Lawyers", I was told I owe July. I was speaking to a person name John there. He's the one who has my case.
I then consulted the gym and sales person named Collins, who accepted the responsibility that he was at fault and that the "file" was incorrectly handed over. Now all of the sudden I'm getting calls that I have made an arrangement to pay which I did not. And now it seems the story changed and I owe them for the month of August.
What hurts the most is the Gym didn't even mention anything to me before handing this over. No sms, no e-mail, no letter. Nothing.

I'd advice people to not do business with these people.
