A month and half ago I purchased flip flops with sequence on the straps, the sequence is now falling off and when I try to return the shoes on Sunday in Gateway, I was told by the saleslady that I would have to leave them for the boss to check them first to see if the sequence falling off was of not my own doing and that was their policy which of cause I had never had off and was nowhere in their terms and conditions. When argued poor service the sales lady called the boss, who was absolutely rude, had no consideration for me being a customer and my consumer rights. He ordered me to leave the shoes as he still needed to examine them to see if i had not damaged the shoe willingly. When I argued this I was told that this is not Edgards/Truworths where they sell a R100 item for R400 and pay on installment. That if I was unhappy about their policy then I now know where to take my money in future. The so called boss was very very rude and. Eventually I left the shoes and my contact details and I was promised a phone call on Monday. I have not received any feedback from the shop or the BOSS to date. I just wanted the shoe to be replaced because I felt it was a factory fault
