I agreed to be Ashnee's model for the KZN Regional Hair competition although I was actually just her client and a teacher at a conservative private school. Instead of getting the free highlights she promised, I got my hair bleached for seven hours. It is now broken and it was completely white until I paid a stylist at another salon R990 to start the process of attempting to save it and correct its colour so that I can at least return to work with it. When I expressed my concerns during the process, Ashnee said that it was 'just toner' and that it would wash out 'like lipstick'. She also said that I must remember I am not the client anymore. She failed to read the rules of the competition and in total I spent 12 hours of my time getting my hair completely ruined. She now says that no other stylist will know how to fix my hair and I must return to her so that she can do it for free. I am obviously far too nervous to take her up on this magnanimous offer. Gerald and Wesley Wells have ignored my email requesting compensation of R990 for the damage done.
