Maybe someone can explain the logic on this:

My husband and I paid Strauss Daly and Karin Hanekom registration and transfer fees as first time Home Buyers. However due to the lack of co-operation by the current owner and the stubborn tenants that refuse to grant anyone access to further proceed with the deal;we are now being held liable for payment of R 4000. Nothing has been done; everyone says there's nothing they can do about the tenant who doesn't want to vacate the property. The current owner has lead us on to believe that he'll do everything in his power to get the tenants out - but had a different story when ie. the agents contacted him.

SO we were being sold property, and at the end of the day had this deal pulled through - the tenants would be our responsibility? Where is the logic in that?

Now I'm sitting with a bill of R 4000; should the current owner who is the reason the contract was cancelled not liable for this???

Why am I to pay for this? Where are my rights as a first time buyer???
