I purchased a HP Envy laptop (16gig RAM, 1 T hard drive with Windows 8) via Bid or Buy from Brilliant Tech in January 2013 at over R12000. On arrival, laptop has 12gig RAM, and no Windows 8. 4 months later the motherboard on the laptop goes - and no warranty despite sales promise of at least 1 year warranty. Now, another 4 months later, despite numerous emails and phone calls, I am informed they are blocked as a seller, but basically all loss and expenses is for my account...
I did not get what I bought, and this is a clear case of sales - yet Bid or Buy has pandered to the seller, and taken no clear action - I have to now go to the police and lay a charge / speak to the seller to resolve the issue despite his threatening emails to me?
This exercise has cost me R12000 or the laptop, R5000 for repairs, and another R6000 for another interim laptop while the saga continues... and still no resolution from Bid or Buy on what their policy / action is to protect buyers. No feedback, no clear action plan, no support.
