I was commissioned by a company to redo their website. The company used a domain which was registered by an administrator that no longer worked their. I was given the job to find out who was hosting the company. I traced it down to Webonline.biz. When I requested the details (login, ftp details, etc) they immediately shut the account down and with that the companies email system and website.

I tried profusely to explain to their support that I am merely enquiring about the account and demanded a reason for shutdown. They denied me any information as to why. After an email was sent to accounts@webonline.biz it surfaced that Webonline.biz continued to allow usage of this domain/email even though it was shutdown in Sep 2011 and that the continued usage of the account amounted to an unpaid bill of R900 odd. When I enquired about the account a flag obviously went up - so just like that they shut down this company's email and website without any warning or explanation! The whole business evolves around the site and their email functionality so this is a big issue. They never made contact with the client in the past 2 years - no warning, no info - just a big finger and a shutdown site
