Excessive Medical Charges

Why is it that when you attend these Labs you always have to pay well in excess of what is covered by Medical Aid? Are these tariffs not governed by anybody and whom can we take it up with? This is an absolute rip-off that when ever you attend these Labs your Medical Aid never covers the full amount? Why are we been ripped off in South Africa when it comes to medical procedures with or without Medical Aid?
