TOP RANK REFUSES TO REFUND DEPOSIT

Needed accommodation for Easter. Found an ad & spoke to Karen Allan of Top Rank properties, 10 Hydrangea ave, Durban North, who confirmed availability. She said to deposit R2240 to secure booking. I did that on 8 February 2013, one & half months before planned trip. A week before trip I called her and she said there was a double booking & she will find alternate accommodation for us. The day before we are to leave for our trip she refuses to give us the physical address of flat other than "its on the main road in Margate" or contact details of the person we are to meet with for keys and says that I am difficult & hangs up. I cancel and demand my deposit back. She says its not in her account and that she is going to take out her commission from the deposit. I don't understand how a commission can be paid for bad service & no delivery on your promises. Its been 1 week & she doesn't reply to my messages and hasn't returned my deposit. I will never book with Karen again.
