Just enjoyed our 4th consecutive March holiday at Happy Wanderers at Kelso. What an awesome place despite the inability to open windows due to the prevelance of monkeys - plastic 'netting' on one window per bedroom would be nice! Staff could not be friendlier or more patient. Some guests are totally irresponsible eg. allowing their kids to slide down the sand banks on the beach in the roasting pans!! and giving their kids food to feed the monkeys!! The Wrecked Heron bar is great and the barman and his staff know all about customer service - fantastic atmosphere.
This is a must visit at any time of the year. The chalets are 3 meters from the beach sand - paradise for kids and for parents!
Despite the hardest beds in the world, we will be back next year! ;-))
