Discrimination against alcoholics

Discovery Health has stopped and cancelled a member's medical aid and all benefets after the person decided to go to a rehabilitation centre for a problem with alcohol. Apparently the person "" on the application form for writing the use of alcohol as moderate.

This person is trying to change and better his/ her own lifestyle, by going for help, and then Discovery Health discriminates against the "stigma" assosiated with alcoholism.

Allmost a year later, this person is still sober, after paying a lot of money privately to the rehabilitation centre.

This is acceptable? This person tried to make a difference for a better life, and he/she was discriminated against.

Really Discovery Health. Shame on you!
