Don't join Discovery Health

I want to warn any person reading this before joining Discovery Health. I have been a member for six years now and I can surely say that I don't abuse my medical benefits. I don't run to a doctor for every single cough or snivel and I haven't used my medical aid very much until last year primarily.

Now there is a problem I have with a cyst under my right ear which needs to be removed surgically and I got authorization to see a surgeon. After I met the surgeon he attempted to get approval from discovery and they declined the procedure. After numerous calls to discovery to find out why they declined the procedure and many different stories it seems they view this procedure under cosmetic procedures and apparantely not medically necessary to remove. REALLY?! Yes, I am trying to remove something because it looks bad, NOT because it is growing larger and larger, NOT because it gives off a foul smell, only because it looks bad... That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!

This was the last straw! I will be cancelling my membership, our company will also cancel and I will make it my life's mission to discourage people to use Discovery.
