My Wife hurt her knee on a Sunday and obviously aggravated an old sporting injury, so much that she could not walk on the Sunday or Monday when we paid a visit to our GP, our GP referred us to an Orthopedic Surgeon the very same day saying that the cartilage in my wife's knee was at a stage were it could cause serious damage further down the line to the knee area.

This was confirmed by the Orthopedic Surgeon on the Monday and my wife was booked into theatre for the operation on the Thursday to clean out the knee, basically my wife HAD to have the surgery as this was preventing her from walking/performing normal duties (read necessary operation, NOT investigation of knee)

Tonight I discovered that the Surgeon's account, all related bills of the operation will be paid from my medical savings (Basically everything EXCEPT the bed) and I am on the EXECUTIVE scheme at - R10, 000 per month.

Apparently Discovery says (Still trying to find out where because they are so vague in suppling information) that on the EXECUTIVE plan all related accounts except the bed are paid out of savings for all operations, this is according to Diane whom I spoke to... Still waiting for her to phone back...
